Duties

Job Purpose

The Trainee Surveyor works under close supervision and is capable of assisting in the set up and successful running of all commercial aspects of the project.

The Trainee Surveyor is responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient running of commercial matters to:

  • Achieve optimum recovery and cash flow whilst also developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the Client.
  • Assist in keeping costs to the minimum whilst also developing and maintaining excellent relationships with Subcontractors and other staff members.
  • Support, advise, develop and train all members of the team on commercial matters and other aspects of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Basic measurement
  • Pricing and checking daywork sheets
  • Maintaining site records
  • Checking Invoices and assisting in updating the cost Management systems for the project
  • Liaising with accounts regarding payments
  • Assisting in the procurement of subcontract packages
  • Assisting in the management of subcontract packages
  • Filing and general administration duties
  • Maintain control procedures in accordance with Magrock's integrated Management System ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Uphold Magrock's corporate image
