Our PAS 2035 Dual Course combines two highly sought-after qualifications – Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) and Retrofit Assessor – giving you the expertise to support the UK’s transition to net zero and deliver energy efficiency improvements in line with the latest standards.

The Level 3 Retrofit Assessor qualification can also be taken as a standalone course. To enrol, you must already hold a Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor qualification and we will require evidence of this, such as your DEA number.

You’ll learn how to carry out domestic energy assessments, produce EPCs, and complete in-depth retrofit assessments in accordance with PAS 2035. Training includes up-to-date guidance on SAP 10, the government’s latest methodology for calculating energy performance, ensuring you’re ready to meet current and future compliance requirements.

About the funding

This funding supports not only the development of current staff but also provides structured routes into the Retrofit and Energy Efficiency sector for new entrants, career changers and those currently unemployed, building a skilled and future-ready workforce.

This professional qualification is designed for individuals pursuing a career as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA). Once qualified, DEA’s can register with an Accreditation Scheme, allowing them to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) for existing homes only. It is designed for individuals entering the energy assessment sector for the first time, as well as those with prior experience in property inspection or surveying who want to obtain a qualification in energy assessment.
