Diploma in Plumbing Studies (Level 2) Programme

Overview

If you have your sights set on a career in plumbing this course will help you progress towards your goal. Combining practical tasks and theory the subjects you will cover include health and safety common plumbing processes cold water systems electrical systems environmental awareness key plumbing principles sanitation systems and central heating systems.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above are required in English and maths. Learners will need to demonstrate they have the commitment attitude and motivation to sturdy to become a qualified plumber. A relevant Level 1 qualification or industry experience at the same level or above is also required.

Assessment Method

Formal assessments for the course include on-line exams and practical assessments with some written short answer responses. There will be a number of short theory and practical tests throughout the year to provide individual feedback on progress in the course.

Aims of the course

To enable learners to achieve a Diploma in Level 2 Plumbing preparing them to enter employment find an apprenticeship or go on to a Level 3 plumbing course.

Progression Opportunities

This study programme can lead to several different paths for further education in plumbing including the City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating or Diploma 6035 Level 3.
